Forno is more than just a bar and restaurant, it's a beloved watering hole for city dwellers. As such, it regularly hosts special events to make meals out a bit special, like the upcoming Wine Dinner No. 3. On Friday, July 21st, champagne and hors d'oeuvres signal the beginning of the festivities at 6 p.m. The five-course Old World Italian dinner kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and each course comes with a pour of Italian wine. Tickets are $102, including all of the food and drink and a special discount on bottles of wine to take home.
You don't have to come to the Wine Dinner to experience Forno; just show up for happy hour anytime between 3 and 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The bar offers $3 draft beers, $5 house wines, a featured $7 cocktail, and discounted oysters and pizzas. During dinner hours, customers continue to enjoy the brick oven-fired pizzas along with handcrafted pasta and entrees such as trout Milanese and Flat Iron steak a la plancha.
