The National Aquarium. Fort McHenry. The World Trade Center. What do these unique attractions have in common? They all live in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, an epicenter for learning and fun in the city. Whether you're looking for a day out with family, a date night with your significant other, or some quiet "me time," you'll find it at the harbor.
If you're bringing kids along, start at The National Aquarium. Youngsters will be able to spend all day pressing their noses up against large, nature-filled tanks that contain dolphins, sharks, stingrays, and more than 17,000 other sea creatures. For a unique date night, begin by enjoying the view from the top of Baltimore's World Trade Center. Its observatory on the 27th floor provides stunning panoramas of the city, and afterward, the harbor has plenty of spots where you can grab dinner. Hop on a water taxi at the harbor to head to Fort McHenry for a day of solo exploration. You can take a tour around the historic fort and learn all about the role that it played in the nation's history.
