Geppi’s Entertainment Museum chronicles the path of pop culture in Baltimore, specifically, and America at large. It starts with a gallery dedicated entirely to comics and the toys they spawned, then forays into other types of entertainment such as TV and music.
Start at the "Extra! Extra!" exhibit to explore the history of comics such as "The Yellow Kid" and "Buster Brown," some of which date back to the beginning of the nation and its very first paper. Then discover exhibits that pay homage to local and national figures, including "When Heroes Unite" and "Pioneer Spirit: Baltimore Heroes." Learn the ways that TV changed the course of history at "America Tunes In" and follow the growth of television at "Going Global," which looks at 24-hour news channels and the advent of the internet.
