It’s hard to pinpoint the best part about Baby’s On Fire. This part record store, part coffee shop and café has an undeniably cool atmosphere, and is an awesome addition to the Midtown Belvedere neighborhood.
Baby’s On Fire brings back the art of browsing with their vinyl collection, and music aficionados love flipping through the mix of modern and classic titles. There’s plenty of hot coffee and fresh pastries to enjoy while you browse or take advantage of the lightening fast Wifi, but the food at Baby’s on Fire might be the best reason to visit of all. Chef Shirle makes the kind of food you would at home if you had the time or know-how, and items like the fresh daily soups, house-made hummus, and flavorful Panini sandwiches are well worth driving across town for. She also does a special spin on mac and cheese each week, the perfect comfort food as the weather gets colder.
Find Baby’s On Fire just off North Charles on Morton Street. The entrance is tucked between buildings and parking lots, but look for the bold sign the side of the red brick building.
