Stay healthy by staying inside and being active at home! All Maryland gyms had to close on March 16 due to COVID-19, but many are still operating by offering virtual workouts that you can do yourself at home.
Even if you decide to take a break from your regular workout routine during this time, you can still support your local gyms by purchasing gift cards. Here are just a few of the local gyms ready to keep you motivated while you’re home:
#KnockoutCorona and join Knockout Fitness for free Instagram Live classes. You don’t need a gym and equipment to box; you can do it right in the comfort of your own home! No need to worry if you miss a session, as the classes are posted on Facebook afterwards as well.
Merritt Clubs is offering free IGTV workouts on Instagram, and you don’t need to be member to participate! Classes will also be posted on Facebook so that you can do the workout at any time you want.
Active members also have free access to Les Mills on Demand, a virtual workout app. Look out for emails from Merritt Clubs for more info on how to work out with them during the temporary closure.
MAC Harbor East
MAC members will have free access to Les Mills on Demand until May 31, giving you plenty of workouts to choose from! The gym has also been uploading workouts onto IGTV that anyone can check out. For further information and instructions on how to join, check your emails from MAC.
Pilates House is now in your house! The studio is streaming one live class per day on Zoom, but it can be watched later if you cannot make the session. Private sessions are available for purchase as well, and non-members who are interested can sign-up by purchasing a virtual class credit.

With their virtual classes you have the option to just drop in whenever you would like, or purchase a class pack based on the amount of workouts you would like to participate in.
Sanctuary Bodyworks is offering in-home video training, so get in touch with a trainer to get a customized workout plan made just for you! While the gym may not be open, new members are still more than welcome to join and get their custom video.
