July 15th, 2020
Every third Sunday in July is National Ice Cream Day! This year, it falls on Sundae, July 19. National Ice Cream Day was started by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 to celebrate one of America’s favorite treats. Research has shown that about 40% of Americans have eaten an entire pint of ice cream! While everyone loves ice cream, everyone loves different types of ice cream.
Women love Ben and Jerrys, while men prefer Breyers, and different age groups have different favorite flavors, with Cookies and Cream being the favorite for ages 18-24, and ages 25-34 preferring Cookie Dough. Find more ice cream stats here.
No matter what your ice cream preferences are, there are plenty of local places right here in Baltimore serving flavors that everyone will enjoy!
